Trapiche Broquel Malbec 2015
Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Broquel Malbec was sourced from different vineyards in the departments of San Carlos and Tunuyán in the Valle de Uco. It fermented in concrete and stainless steel vats followed by malolactic in barrels and an aging of 15 months in new, second and third use French oak barrels. The nose is dominated by aromas of dark fruit and licorice, with a touch of ink. The palate is nicely balanced, with very fine tannins. A nice introduction to Malbec from Mendoza. 1.2 million bottles were produced and bottled in six 200,000-bottle lots.
