Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel 2017 BottleFrom the very beginning (ex Mouton Rothschild) winemaker Patrick Léon crafted a lighter style of rosé, and this very much errs on the side of being fresh, clean, mineral with a white peach expression. Unoaked, vinified in stainless steel tanks, kept chilled at every stage of the process. From a blend of Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault and Syrah, all hand-harvested. Easy to see why this works so well.
Julien Braud Forty Ounce Rosé 2017 1LGamay Merlot and Cabernet Franc Julien Braud, born around the same time as St. Ides, grew up in the Loire. He farms organically, uses natural yeasts & ages in glass lined cement. It may seem gimmicky at first but don't let the bottle shape fool you. This is a nice crisp light weight Rose that has flavors of strawberry and a hint of melon.
