Fortunately, Dark Horse winemaker, Beth Liston, decided to take summer by the grapes and create a fruit-forward, Provence-style Rosé that pairs perfectly with sunshine and backyard budgets. Gerard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé 2017A wine that celebrates the Mediterranean lifestyle, this pale yet vibrant rosé is designed to be beautiful. The base of the bottle is shaped like a blossoming rose; the top is sealed with a unique glass closure. Within, fresh and bright summer fruits combine with aromatic floral notes; on the palate, it drinks fresh, full and balanced.
Julien Braud Forty Ounce Rosé 2017 1LGamay Merlot and Cabernet Franc Julien Braud, born around the same time as St. Ides, grew up in the Loire. He farms organically, uses natural yeasts & ages in glass lined cement. It may seem gimmicky at first but don't let the bottle shape fool you. This is a nice crisp light weight Rose that has flavors of strawberry and a hint of melon.
Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel 2018 BottleFrom the very beginning (ex Mouton Rothschild) winemaker Patrick Léon crafted a lighter style of rosé, and this very much errs on the side of being fresh, clean, mineral with a white peach expression. Unoaked, vinified in stainless steel tanks, kept chilled at every stage of the process. From a blend of Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault and Syrah, all hand-harvested. Easy to see why this works so well.

Bracing mineral aromatics and floral notes are found on the nose whilst the well balanced and vibrant palate features freshly sliced watermelon, Turkish rose water and subtly herbaceous Cabernet Sauvignon flavours. Amplifying its fresh, clean acidity and striking length is a burst of succulent Ruby grapefruit that carries the wonderful ensemble to a pleasant, lasting finish.
